Gather on Sundays
Welcome
Our Sunday gatherings are one of the primary ways we come together as a church.
Come as you are. You'll find students, young professionals, families, empty nesters, and people from all walks of life learning to follow Jesus together. Our gatherings are grounded in Scripture and prayer, shaped by authentic relationships, and centered on creating space for people to encounter God's love. Every week, our service centers around the communion table (also called the Eucharist) — a simple, sacred meal of bread and wine or juice where we pause together to remember Jesus’ love and receive His grace.

Parking
In addition to street parking, there are spaces in the alley behind the church and a dedicated overflow parking lot at Pearl Street and Mexico.
From April through mid-November, the South Pearl Street Farmers Market brings fun energy to the neighborhood. Parking can take a little longer during these months, so we recommend allowing a few extra minutes (and patience). If you have time, it’s well worth a stroll through the market after the service.
Transit & Biking
We’re easily accessible by public transit.
- RTD light rail lines E and F stop at Louisiana/Pearl Station, just three blocks away.
- The #12 buses go right by our building.
- Bicycle racks are available to the left of the front doors.
What to expect
If you're thinking about visiting a church in Denver for the first time — or returning after a long time away — it's normal to feel unsure of what to expect.
At Platt Park Church, our hope is simple: that you would feel at ease, not pressured, and free to engage at your own pace.
What Sundays look like
A typical Sunday gathering includes:
- Music and worship in an eclectic, indie style that's a little different every week
- Relaxed and grounded: there's no dress code, no spotlight, and no pressure to participate in ways that feel uncomfortable.
- A slower pace of prayer and space for reflection
- Teaching from Scripture — our Teaching Team takes turns bringing weekly messages that invite you deeper into the mystery of the 'with God' life.
- Weekly communion, open to all who wish to participate
- Worship service is typically approximately 70 minutes
- We value both structure and space — liturgy and experience — and desire that worship is meaningful without rushing the experience.
Life with God & community
At some point most of us have felt alone in our faith journey. At Platt Park Church, community is at the heart of everything we do. Friendship and community are some of the places God's presence is most often felt.
We believe the Christian journey isn't primarily about achievement, performance, or having it all figured out. It's a lifelong movement of being loved by God and learning, little by little, how to respond — alongside others doing the same.
You may hear invitations into groups, shared meals, prayer, service, or tangible ways to spread love. Beneath all of it is one invitation: to become attentive to God already with us — to notice, to wonder, to listen, and to respond with openness and trust together.
Teaching & Encouragement
We send a weekly newsletter on Saturday mornings. The newsletter includes an article written by a member of our community in addition to announcements about upcoming experiences and opportunities to get involved.
