Get connected
Life in community
We believe that life with God is meant to be lived together—across every age and stage of life. Community is integral to our spiritual formation—God uses the people around us to shape who we are, encourage our faith, and carry us when we need support.
Whether you are navigating your first years as a young professional, raising kids in the middle of family life, stepping into the empty-nest years, or bringing the rich wisdom of your senior years to the table, there is a place for you here. We flourish when every generation learns from, supports, and walks alongside one another.
To help you find your place, most of our community life at Platt Park Church falls into three distinct categories: Groups, Experiences, and Circles.
New here? Here are two easy ways to get started:
If you are looking for a simple, low-pressure way to get connected this month, we recommend starting with one of these:
JOIN A GROUP: The best way to build deep, lasting friendships in any stage of life. There are groups for empty-nesters, parents of young kids, Young Professionals, and many others.
SERVE ON A TEAM: Sign up to serve on Sunday mornings, help out at one of our Denver partners like Christ's Body Ministries, or join a team going to serve in another country. Serving is a wonderful way to meet people while making a tangible difference.

Groups
Small groups are where faith meets everyday life — a place to share meals, study scripture, ask tough questions, and carry one another’s burdens. No matter your stage of life — from Young Professional to empty-nester or anywhere in between — or where you are on your spiritual journey, there is a group ready to welcome you.
Find Your Group: Groups meet throughout the week in homes, coffee shops, and at the church.
Experiences
Experiences are invitations to encounter God in a tangible way — through worship gatherings, service opportunities, retreats, seasonal events, and more. These shared experiences offer dedicated time to pause, seek God deeply, build new friendships, and celebrate what He is doing in our midst.
Worship Gatherings
In addition to Sunday worship we offer Sacred Space nights and seasonal experiences such as Longest Night Service, and Good Friday Service. All worship experiences are listed in the church calendar.
Events & Retreats
We view these not just as events to attend, but as tangible experiences designed to help us encounter God, build deep friendships, and celebrate what He is doing in our midst — leaving a lasting impact that shapes us long after they end.
-
Seasonal & Community Gatherings: Throughout the year, we bring the whole church together for shared traditions like our Halloween Block Party, Thanksgiving Potluck, BINGO Chili Cook-off, and Volunteer Appreciation Party.
-
Retreats & Spiritual Formation: We offer dedicated time to pause and seek God deeply. The Platt Park Women’s Retreat takes place every January, followed by the Men’s Retreat in April, along with various prayer and spiritual formation retreats offered throughout the year.
All upcoming experiences, events, and retreats are listed on the church calendar. To learn more about our retreats, feel free to reach out to Charlie Dodrill.
Service Experiences
We believe serving isn't just something we do; it’s one of the primary ways God transforms our hearts. At Platt Park you are invited to serve out of joy, gratitude, and a response to God's invitation — never out of guilt, duty, or obligation. There is no requirement to log hours or check a box.
When you step into God’s work using your unique gifts, passions, and hands — whether welcoming guests, helping with tech, or loving our neighbors — it makes a lasting impact on others and ourselves.

Circles
Spiritual formation is an ongoing journey, and Circles exist for those moments when you want to lean in, explore a specific topic, and share honest conversation without an ongoing commitment.
Circles are casual, interest-based spaces where curiosity meets community. They are places where you can voice honest questions, explore different aspects of the spiritual life, and connect with others who are asking similar things. Rather than focusing on rigid curriculum, Circles focus on dialogue anchored in a bigger story.
Whether it’s wrestling with ancient texts in Scripture Circles with Rabbi Noah, exploring personal and communal faith in This is Our Story, or sharing food and conversation in topical gatherings like Soup & Saints, Circles provide meaningful touchpoints that shape us in accessible, relational ways. They are a place to practice showing up authentically, listening deeply, and discovering how God is active in the everyday details of our lives.
All Circles are listed in our church calendar.
