Dear Platt Park Church family,
We share regular financial updates because we believe transparency builds trust and celebrates God’s work among us. As we start our new fiscal year (which officially began on July 1), we want to take a moment to look back and celebrate God’s faithfulness and your incredible generosity over our recent 6-month transition budget (January–June 2026).
We shifted to a July-to-June fiscal calendar so our budget directly mirrors our natural ministry and giving rhythms (from back-to-school fall through summer ministries), giving us greater clarity and intentionality in budgeting. Here is a brief look at where we stood as of June 30:
- Generous Giving: Over these past six months, Tithes & Offerings totaled $334,000, surpassing our $275,000 budget target by over $59,000 thanks to faithful ongoing giving and a couple of generous one-time gifts! Including events and rentals, total income reached $375,000.
- Spread Love: Through your faithful giving, we were able to support ministry partners like Christ’s Body Ministries, Open Door Ministry, Daya International, Amigos en Cristo, Denver Street School, and many more. Platt Park Church is committed to giving at least 10% of all income back to people in need and the ministry partners who serve them. Over these six months, our church community gave over $41,000 through Spread Love to directly impact lives in our neighborhood and around the world.
- Strong Financial Position: Because the first six months of the calendar year do not include our typical year-end giving (such as the Christmas Offering) and featured our community’s largest building project to date — replacing the church roof for $140,000 — we intentionally budgeted for a $198,000 net deficit for this 6-month transition period. We planned to cover this deficit through our church reserves. However, thanks to higher-than-expected giving, our actual deficit came in much lower at $140,000 — finishing $58,000 better than projected. We closed the six months with just over $600,000 between our operating and reserve accounts, leaving our church in a healthy position as we launch into the new fiscal year.
We are so grateful to be in community with you all. It is such a joy and honor to love and serve others alongside you. Thank you for your faithfulness, prayers, and financial support of Platt Park Church.
