SUNDAY MORNING PARKING
In addition to street parking, we have spaces in the alley behind the church and a dedicated overflow parking lot at Pearl Street & Mexico. Even on busy Farmer’s Market mornings, there is typically parking available just a few blocks east or south of the church. For those who would rather skip parking altogether, we also have a bike rack near the front doors of the church. The Louisiana/Pearl light rail station is a short walk away, and there are multiple RTD bus stops within a few blocks of the church.
SATURDAY NEWSLETTER
Platt Park Church sends a weekly email on Saturday mornings. This is our primary written communication with the church community, and we will never share your contact information with anyone else. It’s a great way to keep updated on what is going on at the church. Click here to sign up!
SMALL GROUPS
Have you been thinking about connecting more in the Platt Park Church community? Small groups are a wonderful way to get to know more people in the church and grow in your relationship with God. Our fall small groups are starting back up this month. There are a lot to choose from -- check out the full list here and sign up! Email anne@plattparkchurch.org with any questions. Happy fall!
JOIN THE LABOR OF LOVE GROUP!
Second Saturday of the month, 8:30AM-11AM. Are you a fixer? Do you love to repair things? Do you want to learn some home improvement skills? We meet the second Saturday of each month at 8:30AM in the Parlor for donuts, coffee, and chatting and then head out to do jobs around the church. This is a great way to hang out with other people who love home repair and learn more about specific projects. Click here to join the group. Thank you for spreading love in our community and helping us take care of this beautiful building!
BAPTISM + CHILD DEDICATION
If you’ve been thinking about baptism or about dedicating your child, we’d love to connect with you. We recognize that people come from a variety of church backgrounds and traditions, and we offer both baptism and child dedication as meaningful ways to respond to God’s grace. We would love to help you explore what each means and what the next step could look like for you or your family. Click here to receive more information.
COMMUNITY CARE
Are you, or is someone you know, in need of care? We all have times in life when we need support. Sometimes that support is in the form of meals or a hospital visit. Sometimes that support looks like someone to listen and pray with you. Our Community Care Team would love to come alongside you and care for you in this time. Click the button to fill out a prayer request and mark “yes” for someone to contact you. You are so loved.
PLATT PARK PANTRY
The Platt Park Pantry contains non-perishable meal ingredients that can be easily picked up by anyone who self-identifies as in-need. In order to make the pantry most helpful to individuals and families in need, it is primarily stocked with meal options such as dry pasta and marinara sauce, peanut butter and jelly, and cans of tuna and soup. We would love for you to get involved! Click here to email Anne and join the team.
CASSEROLE CARE
We’re thrilled to offer Casserole Care to our new moms, families undergoing a severe illness, and others in need! It’s a good-old fashioned meal train, where we deliver home-cooked or freshly prepared restaurant dinners. Service opportunities include meal preparation, delivery, or simply donating a gift card from your favorite fast casual restaurant! Click here to contact Anne for additional details.
APPLE TREE CLOTHES CLOSET
The clothes closet is open for shopping! Beautiful, upscale women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories are regularly donated to us by Common Threads on South Pearl and you can purchase them for a fraction of their original price. Students and those with low income can even shop for free! The proceeds from this ministry benefit our Benevolence Fund. Come check it out on the lower level (outside the men's restroom)! Due to space limitations we are unable to accept donated items from the congregation.
BLESSING TEAM
Did you know that our church has a “Blessing Team?’” This is a group of dedicated individuals who are available to help meet the needs of people in our faith community. Our role is to support and encourage through a variety of means such as providing meals, financial assistance, visitation, and prayer. Do you know of someone in need? Click here to email Charlie.
