In Kids Club this month, we’ve been exploring God’s creation through the concept of “Uniqueness: learning more about YOURSELF so YOU can make a difference!” This Sunday marks the conclusion of both our Kids Club exploration and our church-wide sermon series “Our Beloved Creates.” During the service, we’ll have a special Children’s Sermon where the kids will participate in “big church” and share what they’ve been learning about how Our Beloved Creates each of us uniquely.

Each of our wonderful children has been given special gifts from God that make them unique. These gifts are like super-powers – things they’re good at, activities they enjoy, or talents that just come naturally. During the Children’s Sermon, I’ll ask the kids to think about gifts they have that could help others, show kindness, or bring creativity to the world. I can’t wait to hear their thoughtful answers!

We want all of the children to know that God has made each of them wonderfully different, and these differences aren’t accidents – they’re God’s special plan! Just like a classroom needs different types of supplies to function, our world needs different types of people with different gifts. I’m so grateful I get to interact with these amazing kids on a weekly basis!

My prayer for them is that they would know God made them unique and would help them find creative ways to use the gifts they’ve been given to make a difference in the world. Parents, please follow up with your children after service on Sunday and ask them which gifts they identified during our Children’s Sermon! This is a wonderful opportunity to affirm the special qualities you see in them.

With love,
