Coats for Colorado & Nepal
Through October 26.
As you do your fall closet clean-out, would you consider setting aside coats you or your family no longer need? Platt Park Church is collecting new or gently used coats to bless:
- Coats for Colorado – helping children and families stay warm here in Denver
- Children in Nepal – through Daya International and our church family
Bring coats to the donation bins by the sanctuary doors anytime through October 26. Thank you!
Halloween Block Party
October 31, 5-8PM
Come out to the best Halloween block party in Denver! For years this neighborhood tradition has brought families together for safe trick-or-treating, festive fun, and plenty of food and laughter. The entire block shuts down to traffic so kids can trick or treat safely and Platt Park Church puts out bouncy houses, grills free hotdogs, and offers a welcoming spot to gather.
It’s not just for kids — adults get to trick-or-treat with their little ones, hang out with neighbors, and soak up the festive atmosphere. And the best part? You can volunteer and still get to enjoy the night with your friends and family — volunteer shifts are only 30 minutes each. Click the button below to check out the volunteer options and sign up!
Want to help in another way? We’re collecting candy donations to keep the trick-or-treat fun going strong! Drop off bags of candy in the bins at the sanctuary doors anytime between now and Halloween.

State of the Church Meeting
Sunday, November 2. 11:20AM-12PM.
Join us for our annual State of the Church meeting on Sunday, November 2 as we look back with gratitude, share updates from staff and elders, and look ahead to the coming year together. This is a time for our whole community to hear important updates, ask questions, and celebrate what God is doing in and through Platt Park Church.
For families, we’ll have childcare available for kids from birth through 5th grade. To help us prepare well—with enough workers and plenty of snacks—we’re asking you to RSVP. That same RSVP link is also the place to share any questions you might have about the church. We’ll gather those questions ahead of time and do our best to answer them in the meeting, in a FAQ document, or personally if that works best for you.

Fall Groups begin in September
September-November 2025
Joining a small group is such a vital and easy way to get to know others in the church, establish friendships and grow in Christ in a more relaxed setting. Check out the groups — one of them might be a perfect fit for you!
Our typical small group rhythm is for groups to meet in the spring, summer, and fall with breaks during the months of May, August, and December/January. Check out the details for each group (click the button below) — some groups continue meeting all year and some are only offered for a specific time period.

Community Care
Are you, or is someone you know, in need of care? We all have times in life when we need support. Sometimes that support is in the form of meals or a hospital visit. Sometimes that support looks like someone to listen and pray with you. Our Community Care Team would love to come alongside you and care for you in this time. Click the button to fill out a prayer request and mark “yes” for someone to contact you. You are so loved.
Child Dedication
Our next child dedication service will take place in November. If you are interested in dedicating your child(ren), please click the button below to email Anne and receive more information.
Join Labor of Love Volunteer Team!

The Daily Practice
The Daily Practice is a devotional tool from Platt Park Church for developing the habit of daily time with God.
Learning to love God takes practice. Just like exercising a muscle, our hearts are trained to love from the bottom up, through the formation of our habits and practices. Discipleship is about curating our hearts to love God and the things that God loves. Forces of our culture train us to love things other than God all the time, but spiritual practices help us to be attentive and intentional about what my heart really loves and desires. Following Jesus is more a matter of hungering and thirsting than of knowing and believing and it is our habit forming practices that form our desires over time. May this daily practice tune your heart to sing His praise.

Apple Tree Clothes Closet
The APPLE TREE CLOSET is open for shopping! Beautiful, upscale women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories are regularly donated to us by Common Threads on South Pearl and you can purchase them for a fraction of their original price.
Students and those with low income can even shop for free! The proceeds from this ministry benefit our Benevolence/Blessing Fund. Come check it out on the lower level!
(Due to space limitations we are no longer accepting donated items from the congregation).
Blessing Team
Did you know that our church has a “Blessing Team?’” This is a group of dedicated individuals who are available to help meet the needs of people in our faith community. Our role is to support and encourage through a variety of means such as providing meals, financial assistance, visitation, and prayer.
Do you know of someone in need? Please let us know.
